Mrs. Poornima Venkatesh opted for making a positive change and all her endeavors are in that direction.
A Tech Entrepreneur
After completing her Bachelor’s degree in commerce in 2002, she plunged into playing a pivotal role at Dot Com Infoway as Director.
Aside from her Bachelor’s degree, she has also obtained a Masters’s in Psychology from Bharathiar University (Coimbatore). This enables her to empathize with colleagues, employees, and most importantly, customers and clients, whether those customers and clients belong to the business side, or the social side.
Leadership in Educational Sector
Not content at limiting herself at leading software and technology company, she has also acted as the Executive Director of CSR Memorial Matriculation School and Correspondent of Sitalakshmi Girls Higher Secondary School, where she has been helping mentor young minds. At these places of learning, she has been inculcating a sense of entrepreneurship especially among girl students who consider her a worthy role model. She has introduced multiple course materials in these institutions to bring the education system to par with the technologies being used in the contemporary world.
A Service To The Nation
With a vision “Open Defecation Free India” She Co-founded Thooya Innovations in 2021. Thooya Innovations is a startup with a focus to provide innovative, comfortable, elite, safe and hygienic toilet experience to the public totally free of cost!
The First unit of LooCafe-Thooya ( Free to use Luxury and hygienic Toilet Facility for the public) in Tamilnadu was launched in OMR-Chennai in May 2022. Open defecation has been an endemic problem in the country, coupled with a glaring lack of toilet places. Although in recent years there has been a tremendous push from the government to build millions of toilets, according to UNICEF, more than 620 million people in India still don’t have access to proper toilets. Even if there are toilets, there is no water in them.
A Key Part In YI
She strongly believes that Youth empowerment plays a crucial role in the development of the country! Continuing her string of mentoring young minds, she is an active member of CII/ Young Indians from 2014 and done various projects under Swachh Bharat and project Masoom(sensitising children and public against child sexual abuse) .Yi is a part of the Confederation of Indian Industry, which is a non-government, non-profit organization encouraging entrepreneurial spirit among the enterprising youth and advocacy for creating a better environment for businesses in India. It comprises a vibrant assortment of young entrepreneurs between the age group of 21 & 40. The primary focus areas of Yi are “Youth Leadership”, “Nation Building”, and “Thought Leadership”. she has served as the chairperson of the Yi Madurai (2021) Regional Masoom Chair(2022) National Management team(2023).

Mrs. Poornima Venkatesh has always had a close proximity with the problems faced by children and this keeps her getting involved with projects that can improve the lot of children.
Being a mother of two daughters herself, she can relate to the hardships countless children have to go through even to get basic privileges as the citizens of the country. She has done various projects under Swachh Bharat and Project Masoom – a pivotal initiative to sensitize the public against child sexual abuse and raising awareness among the young and the old to take steps to curb sexual abuse and to take the early signs to prevent it from happening.
To further her scholarly capabilities she has received certification for Strategic Leadership from the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.
Through her experience, scholarship, and leadership qualities, she constantly strives to enrich the lives of people coming from diverse backgrounds, especially young entrepreneurs and children. She strongly believes in a holistic form of growth that involves personal as well as professional evolution. For that she provides all possible leadership support, educational resourcefulness, and networking opportunities to all those who are eager to bring about a positive change in their lives as well as people around them.
